Privacy
A location-based game stores personal data: where each player is, and a log of the requests their app makes. The Privacy panel lets you decide how long this data is kept, and ask players for their consent before they play.

Keeping Positions
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Delete old position data automatically | Turns automatic deletion on. While it is off, nothing is ever deleted. |
| Keep stored positions for, in days | The last known position of a player whose game has not changed for this long is cleared. |
| Keep request logs for, in days | Request logs older than this are deleted. |
Deletion runs every night. The panel shows how many positions are held now and how many the retention window would remove. Purge now deletes them at once, without waiting for the night.
To delete one player's position data (e.g. when they ask for it), use Forget this player in the consent roster below.
⚠️
Deleted data cannot be recovered; there is no copy.
Consent
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Consent is required to play | Before they enter the game, players are shown the consent text (Before you play) and must agree to play. |
| Version | The version of the text. Change it when you change the text, and every player is asked again. |
| What players are told | The consent text, e.g. what data the game keeps, why, and for how long. |
The roster lists every player of the game: when they joined, whether and when they gave consent (and to which version), and whether a position is stored for them.
